Stunning sea views, creative craft beverages and a modern tapas menu lay the foundation for an excellent dining experience at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub. Located on Kamala’s famous Millionaire’s Mile, the bar & gastro pub is prime sunset spot and a delightful location to catch up with friends or spend a romantic date night.

I’d not been to Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub in an exceptionally long time, so when my dining partner and I were dropped off, I was full of anticipation. We chose an al fresco table, perused the beverage menu and ordered drinks just as the sun began to set. After sipping a few delicious beverages, we opted for a table inside and dug into the tapas menu.

The tapas menu at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub does not disappoint. Fresh flavours and quality ingredients blend for the perfect light bites. Dietary restrictions are clear on the menu, and there is an array of vegetarian options, too.

We indulged in a bespoke selection of tapas including Muhammara, In House Made Chips, Raw Tuna with Salsa Roja, Abuela’s Omelette and Bechamel & Scamorza Cheese Crepe. The tapas are delicious, big enough to share and come at an affordable price point.

The highlights of our dinner included the Raw Tuna with Salsa Roja - Yellow fin tuna coated in sesame seeds, quickly seared and served with salsa roja, and the Bechamel & Scamorza Cheese Crepe - a baked crepe thoroughly filled with Bechamel, Scamorza cheese and bacon. We chose the Italian Sundae for dessert - a lush combination of premium pistachio ice cream, imported wild cherries in syrup, whipped cream and crunchy roasted pistachios.

All in all, we had an excellent evening at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub. The food and beverage options are plentiful, you cannot beat the beautiful sea views, and the wait staff are attentive without being obtrusive. If you are looking for a nice place for an enchanting evening, the bar & gastro pub ticks all the boxes.

Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastro Pub is open daily from 5pm-midnight. Reservations are highly recommended, and there is parking available on-site.
