69 gins... & more
So let’s go” high to the Sky” in this 2018 November high season. Here’s why……
- A possible “lift off” with our famous blue lift later in November.
- 69 types of gin at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastropub (VSBG) on the fourth floor.
- “Rolls Royce” steaks at Plum Restaurant on the third floor.
- A monster “Aperitivo WOW” Platter at VSBG.
- Friday night “The Beastly Feast” (VSBG)
- Live soft rock and pop on Saturdays (VSBG)
To get a little poetic. November’s birthstone is the topaz, which symbolizes friendship.
That’s what November 2018 is about at Cape Sienna Phuket Gourmet Hotel & Villas.
Friendship built around some creative and exciting new dining experiences. Come and make friends. You’ll be so glad you did.
Frank and Pepe.
Gin Heaven. Hic!
You read right. We have 69 types of gin—Phuket’s largest selection—at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastropub. Why 69? Well it’s an easy number to remember for various reasons. Right? Actually we propose increasing that number over the coming months. But meantime from the second half of November you can go mad sampling gins containing juniper (the base), coriander, citrus peel, cinnamon, almond and liquorice and any number of other garnishes.
The list of gins from around the world goes on and on—Thailand, USA, Germany, UK, Spain, Italy and many more. Why focus on gin? Well it’s one of the few spirits where you can genuinely taste the difference of the base alcohol mixed with a myriad of garnishes. Gin has made a huge comeback in popularity worldwide in recent years. And besides, Frank and Pepe both love a nice gin at the end of the day.
Hello “The Beastly Feast”
Yes it’s an all new Friday night gig at Vanilla Sky Gastro Bar & Gastro Pub. At its heart is a heart stopping dish appropriately called “The Beastly Feast.” Roast pork stuffed with every goody appropriate to a dish with such a name—vegetables, sausage, meat and lots more. A buffet will offer side dishes, but it’s “The Beastly Feast” monster piece of pork that is the centrepiece. Dine like the men and women of old on prime pork cooked to perfection. “Pub, Grub and Vino,” the previous offering, is taking a holiday for a while. For more information
Aperitivo WOW!! And the Band on the Run.
Saturday nights is becoming live music night at Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastropub.
Our trio of guitar, saxophone and singer will entertain you while those beers, wine or 69 gins—or any other drink for that matter--go down very nicely.

So why not having some small bites with your favourite tipple?
Call it an “Aperitivo” Medley, Platter, Plate, Board, Salver, Dish, Tray.”
Whatever! Try the delicious Octopus carpaccio, the Prosciutto di Parma, the Salame Felino or the Mozzarella di bufala campana DOP

More Miracle Meat Please!
“Another helping please! That’s what guests have been doing with some dishes on our new Plum Prime Steakhouse menu introduced in October. Who can blame them? That Manzetta Prussiana steak from Poland is not a steak—it’s a slice of heaven from Poland! Pasture fed and sugar beets finished, it sports the flavours of a grass fed and the marbling of a grain fed, or try our in house 30 days dry aged Charolais prime rib. And don’t forget the "Fake Salmon sashimi"... smoked salmon with avocado and cream. Chef Francesco Greco set out to create a unique culinary journey with this menu. His success is found in the number of people travelling their way through the menu—and returning for more.
Our Plum Prime Steakhouse strategy is to offer the “Rolls Royce” of steaks and other meats, not the McDonalds (with all due respect to McDonalds).

Lift Off? Err, Soon!
Our wonderful blue exterior lift will, we are confident, lift off soon. It’s taken a while to get there, but we wanted to make sure it is perfect from day one. And why not? The lift will take up to five people from road level, to lobby, to Plum Prime Steakhouse to Vanilla Sky Bar & Gastropub in a few seconds. On the way up you will see stunning views of Kamala Bay and the Andaman Sea glistening beneath you. On the way down you may have to persuade one of your friends to wait if they are too full of good food and drink. But, hey, enjoy the view by yourself. We hope the lift will blast off in the second half of November. Watch this space and our social network outlets for information.
