Breakfast at Rock Salt

Impeccable food for a bright start to your day
…only one word to describe my dining experience. OUTSTANDING. The menu offers classic breakfast dishes elevated to new culinary heights. The use of high quality ingredients cooked to near perfection - coupled with Executive Chef Mark’s
care and attention to cooking detail, results in an explosion of flavors and wonderful texture (yes this is just breakfast I'm writing about) is impressive. And it won’t break your wallet.

BRULEE FRENCH TOAST [to be launched]
This is everything the perfect French toast should be; slightly crisp on the outside, good and fluffy on the inside. Chef Mark was working on this for their new upcoming menu, and lucky us – got to try it. Boy, do they know how to make a toast! Downright authentic, finished with a sprinkle of sea salt on the beautiful caramelized brown sugar top of toast.. this was like a slice from the cloud. I can’t wait to eat this again!

ROCK SALT BREAKFAST 325B NET
This above average portion English breakfast is very tasty, but beware the food coma that awaits you. The fixings - homemade bacons & hash brown, sinful combination of fried & scrambled eggs, slow roasted plum tomatoes, homemade chicken sausages served with whole wheat bread (made in-house) and imported French Isigny Demi Sel butter. The highlight of this dish is definitely the flavor and texture of the chicken sausage. Hands down the best I have ever had in Phuket!

ROCK SALT SAUSAGE 7 EGG BRIOCHE 210B NET
If you’re wondering how good a ‘breakfast burger’ can be – start with this. Sandwiched between a fluffy brioche bun is again their homemade chicken sausages, fluffy free range eggs, potatoes rosti (omg this) with Jack cheese. Packed and dfelicious with every single bite. It may look harmless but it’s by no means a light breakfast, and for some will certainly keep well past lunch.

EGGS ENEDICT 295B NET
Sous-vide egges were perfectly done, white and firm gold runny yolk. Very pleased that my favourite Prosciutto (thinly sliced Italian dry-cured ham) was on this classic dish, which added that mild saltiness and light crisp texture that I love.

Chef Mark’s approach to food is straightforward – simple, creative and made with love. His knowledge and passion for food is evident in the ingredients used and from every mouthful you get. I finished breakfast thinking "if this is breakfast, I can't wait to have lunch and dinner here and eat more of Chef Mark's cooking". For those of you who have been / know Chef Mark you know exactly what I'm talking about. For those who don't - I highly recommend you start with breakfast here. 100%.
