Home-style cooking by Khun Nid Noi

A full day of work travelling – had to drive up all the way to Cherngtalay, and back to Rawai with five stops in between. I was told food here is good and well spicy – so I thought "Why not?" Ordered direct with Khun Nid Noi, and was recommended to try her signature Pad Thai.

I have to admit, I avoid ordering Pad Thai because it’s usually cooked with so much fish sauce, in some dishes completely overdosed in it. But my friend who recommended me to try also mentioned dishes here are home-styled cooking, so three dishes it was!

Pad Thai Goong – not too oily, I love the fact that it didn’t overdose on fish sauce!! Balanced flavors, big prawn sizes and it was fresh (shell came off easily). I didn’t use any of the salt / sugar condiments .. just a touch of lime squeeze and in my belly it went .. delicious!
Saved the Pad Krapao MOO for dinner - bloody spicy, and damn tasty. I was sweating waterfalls by the time I finished, really good.

Kanom Jeen – served with coconut curry, comes with long beans (which I cut into smaller pieces), fresh cucumber and beansprouts. Made my own boiled egg. BIG portion of noodles! Curry was not too spicy.

I understand that the restaurant is closed due to Covid restrictions, when I walked into the empty restaurant, I felt down. During my drive back to Rawai, my car became this amazing smell of Thai food, so I reminded myself to write this;

Please support local business, every baht counts.

If you like the food, recommend to a friend so that they can order it to try...
Or write a review if you like...
Or order it again!

Order direct with Khun Nid Noi 084 446 9199 or do a GRAB order.
Opening hours: 12pm – 11pm
