La Cantina Steak House & Pizzeria

La Cantina puts a nice spin on the casual setting. You know you’ve walked into somewhere smart, without the need for white tablecloths and buttoned-up service – with good food awaiting. The entrance beckons into a spacious covered outdoor seating area, and for those who prefer to be indoors – step past the bar into airconditioned comfort.

The last bite was just as good as my first! My #1 favourite is the Honey and Goat Cheese Salad – absolutely divine. Goat cheese was amazing, all the ingredients well paired and deliciously refreshing! #2 would be the New Zealand Lamb Chops – dazzling flavor, succulent tender meat and cooked perfectly to my request (medium). 

Atmosphere was cosy, friendly staff and it was nice to have the executive chef greet us at the table. So I had the opportunity to share feedback for improvement on the calamari which would have been great had it been served hot instead of cold.

The margarita drink I had was lacking, but food was great and made up for the overall dining experience. Will definitely be back when I’ve got a carnivorous appetite to satisfy!
