Those seeking the finest southern Thai cuisine look no-further than Black Ginger: a blend of contemporary design mixed with traditional elements, an experience rich in history brought to the present by a one-of-a-kind aesthetic. Sous Chef Anongrat Meklai, known to everyone as Chef Piak, who has been with us for more than twenty years, is in charge of Black Ginger’s kitchen as well as the Thai cooking class in Moo’s Kitchen. A quick chat reveals the passion she has for her art and the cuisine that she takes pride in preparing.

Diners can look forward to all-time favourites such as ‘Pad Thai’, ‘som tam’, and fresh spring rolls, as well as local favourites like ‘Mee Sapam goong’, or Black Ginger’s signature take on ‘bua tod’: shrimp and ‘cha-plu’. Using only the freshest locally-sourced ingredients, some from our own organic garden, the second-to-none Thai dishes makes for a truly unforgettable journey through Phuket’s and indeed Thailand’s past.
