The laid-back cafe, beach bar and restaurant offers up a relaxing atmosphere, plenty of Instagram-worthy spots, and an extensive menu of Asian Fusion and international favourites.
Considering the views, there’s not a bad seat at Tann Terrace Phuket. Diners can choose from sun loungers, day beds, garden tables and chairs as well as hammocks scattered around the al fresco wooden terrace. The day we drop in for lunch, we choose a plush yellow sofa near the beach as the place to have our meal.
The menu at Tann Terrace Phuket is quite extensive. There's a seafood option with nearly every dish, and the majority of the menu focuses on pasta, pizza, fresh salads, classic Thai favourites, with a smattering of vegan items and desserts. The day we dine here, we choose a variety of signature favourites to enjoy, including the Tann Salad, Tagliatelle Tann Phuket Lobster, Grigliata Mista di Pesce, Tann Pizza and one more pizza, the Par Par.
Portions at Tann Terrace Phuket are ample and large enough to share. The Tagliatelle Tann Phuket Lobster features homemade pasta in a creamy sauce with a massive Phuket lobster. The dish is rich and flavourful and it's evident that the pasta is 100% homemade. The Grigliata Mista di Pesce is a heaped platter of fresh seafood favourites including prawn, squid, filet of fish, mussels and BBQ scallops with a zesty dipping sauce.
The Tann Salad is a strange combination of mixed salad, mozzarella cheese, parma ham, tuna, boiled egg and sun-dried tomato. While the flavour combination works, it’s not served with its own salad dressing, or any salad dressing, which is a shame as the olive oil available on the table really doesn’t enhance the flavour.
Next up are the pizzas! Tann Terrace Phuket has a wood-fired oven, and pizzas appear to be a popular choice at the venue. The Tann Pizza is a charcoal base pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, squid, anchovy, sun-dried tomato and dried chili. It’s a flavour combination that works well, and highly recommended for seafood lovers. The Par Par Pizza is a classic pizza loaded with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, cherry tomato, parmesan, Parma ham and rocket. This pizza is delicious down to the last slice!
For dessert, we decide on a heaping serving of the Italian classic Tiramisu. It’s rich and creamy, and the perfect end to our dining experience at Tann Terrace Phuket.
Located directly on Karon Beach, Tann Terrace Phuket is open daily from 12 noon until midnight. With an extensive coffee, cocktail and wine list to accompany the menu, it’s a good place to go for lunch or dinner or to simply enjoy a few sunset cocktails with friends.
Parking is available off-site with and also includes a valet service. Tann Terrace Phuket hosts a variety of activities and events nightly including international DJs and a fire show. For this, reservations are highly recommended. Book your table by calling 094 156 4546.
