Mint Bar & Restaurant

A laidback beachfront dining venue, Mint Bar & Restaurant is located next to the Paradox Residence at Karon Beach. With a chic and fun ambience, breathtaking sunset views, and a live band and DJ, it’s a great place to enjoy a casual dinner. 

The bar & restaurant features a contemporary menu that appeals to all appetites. Pasta and pizza, burgers and sandwiches, seafood buckets, poke bowls, a nice selection of grilled meat and fish, and an extensive appetizer list that features Thai and Western offerings. My dining partner decides on the Quesadilla Chicken, Ricotta & Spinach Ravioli, Crispy Pork Belly, and the signature Mint Pizza. It’s a nice night, so we sip on some fruity adult beverages and enjoy the sea breeze while our dinner is being prepared. 

The Quesadilla Chicken is a scrumptious appetizer. It’s a soft tortilla stuffed with savory chicken, peppers & jalapenos, onions and Mozzarella cheese and served with salsa and sour cream. The Tex-Mex flavors are spot on and the portion just right. Next up is the Crispy Pork Belly, a dish served with mashed potatoes, apple jam and gravy. This is comfort food at its finest, and the apple jam really heightens the flavor of the overall dish. 

The Italian dishes are served together which is a nice touch. The Ricotta & Spinach Ravioli is splashed with tomato sauce. The ravioli is chewy while the ricotta & spinach savory. This dish is definitely best shared. The Mint Pizza is loaded with spicy sausage & chorizo, topped with Mozzarella cheese and tomato & mint sauce. I’ve never had mint sauce on pizza, but the flavor combination works well with the spiciness of the both the sausage & chorizo. 

All in all, it’s a nice meal that my dining partner and I share, and obviously, the location just across from Karon Beach is hard to beat. I’d definitely recommend Mint Bar & Restaurant to anyone looking for a place to have a casual dinner and sip on some interesting beverage combinations as the al fresco setting is entirely relaxing. 

Mint Bar & Restaurant is open daily from 4pm until midnight. Reservations are recommended.
