Kee Sky Lounge

Nestled into the heart of Patong, Kee Sky Lounge is a vibrant rooftop bar and restaurant with stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the Andaman Sea. Located at The Kee Resort & Spa, take the glass elevator and get off at the 6th floor to enjoy the restaurant and bar, or carry on to the 7th floor to chill in the lounge and jacuzzi.

We arrive at Kee Sky Lounge in the late afternoon hoping to settle in and order before the sun begins to set. As soon as we step out of the elevator, the staff smile and jump to action. We’re showed to an outdoor table, given the menus and suggested a variety of signature beverages.

The menu at Kee Sky Lounge consists of a variety of Mediterranean and Thai tapas as well as mixed grills, seafood platters and creative side dishes. We choose Beef Pomegranate from the Thai tapas menu, Spanish Starry Night tapas from the Mediterranean tapas menu and a 50g grilled Angus beef tenderloin served with piccalilli.

Our food arrives just as a colorful pink and yellow sunset splashes across the Patong skyline. Of course, we take a few photos for our social media feeds before we dig in! A salad made with beef tenderloin, cucumber, tomatoes and summer herbs topped with a creamy lemongrass chili-lime dressing, the Beef Pomegranate is tart and tasty. The Spanish Starry Night tapas are served as a platter of Iberico ham croquettes, fried calamari rings, baked potatoes with spicy sauce, gambas al ajillo, Spanish aioli, warm olives and cherry tomatoes. The Iberico ham croquettes are my favourite and the Spanish aioli pairs well with the gambas al ajillo. The piccalilli side dish that accompanies our 50g Angus beef tenderloin is Italian-style pickled vegetables with horseradish, mustard and spices. It’s a fresh accompaniment to the grilled meat, and my dining partner’s favourite choice of the night.

Kee Sky Lounge is situated 150 metres from the energetic nightlife of Bangla Road and has free on-site parking. It’s the perfect place to start an evening in Patong, enjoying signature beverages, a range of tasty tapas and, of course, an excellent Phuket sunset.

The rooftop bar and restaurant is open daily from 17:30pm until midnight, and for larger groups or parties, reservations are highly recommended.
