The menu balances modern and traditional cuisines that play on new flavours brought to you from Europe by the talented chef from Belgium.
A sleek restaurant with a contemporary design, Infuse Restaurant by Diamond Resort is a charming off-the-beaten-path venue close to Bang Tao Beach. The menu offers up a robust menu of culinary delights created by a Belgian chef, and is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely dinner with family or friends.
The staff of Infuse Restaurant are friendly and professional, and upon arrival we are seated almost immediately and presented with a wine list. Opting for non-alcoholic beverages, my dining partner and I choose mocktails as we peruse the extensive menu, which features Belgian classics, pizzas and pastas and Thai food options as well.
We begin the meal with a refreshing Burrata Salad, loaded with fresh tomatoes and basil. The Burrata is rich, creamy and totally fresh. It’s a lush appetiSer to whet our appetites. The presentation is simple, yet elegant, and of course, we take a few photos for our Instagram accounts!
Indecisive about our mains, Chef Rieno suggests the Belgian Beef Stew “Stoofvlees.” The dish is a rich, hearty beef and onion stew served with a crisp side salad and Belgian fries. The beef is tender and the entire dish flavourful. This is comfort food at its best, and it’s easy to imagine this will be a menu best seller during Phuket’s wet season. My dining partner and I also decide to try the pizza and settle on the Fungi di Bosco - a pizza loaded with tomato, mozarella, mushrooms, ham, onion, oregano and olives. The pizza is crisp with a thin crust and truly delicious.
By the time dessert arrives, we are absolutely stuffed, but manage to dig into the Vanilla & Chocolate Dream regardless. This dessert is absolutely decadent! It’s a chocolate lava cake with vanilla sauce and dark chocolate ice cream. Each bite is a rich, indulgent feast and I note that it would be great to pop into Infuse Restaurant one afternoon in the near future for just desserts and coffee.
The food at Infuse Restaurant speaks for itself. Simple recipes, fresh ingredients and authentic tastes combine for an outstanding dining experience. The restaurant is comfortable and tastefully decorated, while the wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the food they serve.
Make a point to stop into Infuse Restaurant by Diamond Resort the next time you are in the north of the island as it’s a delightful dining experience loaded with good, honest food.
