The resort features a pool and bar area that is an ideal place to relax with a cocktail and unwind before dining. Have an intimate and romantic dinner at a poolside table or in the old style Thai house with its colonial theme of a beautiful wood-dominated dining room with early 20th century black and white photo vignettes of Southeast Asia. Then move the ambience to the lounge and bar area and to the comfortable couches of the private salon for after dinner drinks and cigars.

The small but varied menu features both seafood and meat delicacies. Treats to both the eye and taste were the appetizers of the Soufflé d´Auvergne aux deux fromages – a baked blue cheese soufflé of roquefort and Danish blue cheeses with rocket salad and the Artichauts et Homards en millefeuille – artichokes and lobster arranged as a layered slice and surrounded by a pesto sauce and sliced lobster – were both first-rate dishes. Equally pleasing was the main course of Medaillon d´Angus vieillit et sa crème rocquefort – dry aged Australian angus beef served with French green beans, potato and turnips gratin with roquefort cream – and La Fameuse Bourride du Pecheur – an assortment of fish filets poached in a saffron tomato sauce with zuccini, carrot, potato and celery.

Voyage’s distinctive wine list offers first-class choices to accompany a fine meal. The French red L’Oratoire de Chasse-Spleen, 2001 was a perfect recommendation to the meal.

Mouthwatering desserts are the ultimate finale to any fine dining experience. The Fondant au Chocolat with its warm and soft centre and butterscotch and whipped cream topping was a savoury delight as was the Tarte aux Pommes fines – finely cut apple slices baked on a thin crust and served with vanilla ice cream.
