Catch & Grill
The joy of a buffet lies in the delights of the many tantalizing dishes, which are elegantly displayed, that tease the eye and hint of the promise of delectable tastes to come. That such a buffet holds a wealth of seafood, some of which is freshly caught from the Andaman Sea, as well as meat, vegetables and other exotic items is a promise of a medley of delights exquisitely prepared by a talented chef.

Bait it, catch it, consult with the chef and have it grilled in a style to your liking at the Patong Paragon Hotel's Catch & Grill. Relax with a cocktail or some fine wine in the modern styled setting and the mix of well-known popular music favourites from a Filipino trio of this newly opened hotel's premier place to dine and enjoy a culinary feast.

Wine adds that special touch to a meal and white wine is a true complement to seafood. The Taylors Unwooded Chardonnay from Australia with its fresh and fruity bouquet proved to be a perfect match to the appetizers and entrées served during the evening.

A duo of New Zealand mussels and scallops were a great beginning. Served in their shells and oven-baked, the mussels were coated with cheese and the scallops with cheese and spinach and served with garlic bread.

Our main course held similar delights. The Prawns with Tamarind Sauce - a popular Thai dish - were moist and succulent, their taste complemented with the sweet and tangy flavour of the tamarind fruit. A garnish of a flower carving added to the presentation. The Phuket lobster with its meat chunks cooked with black pepper and fried green, yellow and red peppers and asparagus presented in the shell, was an exquisite entrée. It was a thoughtfully and creatively prepared dish to be savoured.

A dessert course of sweet treats to top off the meal followed. The Mango Mousse served with vanilla Häagen Dazs ice cream was a with a light and refreshing complement to the creamy and decadent scoop of chocolate.

With a catch of fresh seafood ready to be grilled as you wish or upon the chef's recommendation, a casual atmosphere and warm hospitality, Catch & Grill makes for an enjoyable and pleasant place to dine.
