An Evening at Sala Bua Beachfront Restaurant

International cuisine, classic Thai dishes and breathtaking views of the Andaman Sea are all what make Sala Bua Beachfront Restaurant a must-try experience. Located within the Impiana Resort, Sala Bua sits directly on the sands of Patong Beach.

The night we dine at Sala Bua is tropical and balmy. We arrive just before sunset and choose a corner table on the open-air terrace to enjoy the view. The service is impeccable; drinks are served straight away, and we are given some time to peruse the menu. The beachfront restaurant’s menu includes a large variety of soups, salads, pizzas, pastas and Thai favourites.

We choose Cheese and Charcuterie as our starter, and the platter arrives loaded with Brie, gorgonzola and feta cheese, accompanied by Parma ham, Milano salami, chorizo and tasty slices of smoked chicken. It is a moreish combination that goes great with the signature cocktails we are slowly sipping on.

Mains arrive rather quickly. I chose the Tuscan Pork, which is a dish of Rosemary roasted kurabuta pork tenderloin with red bean hash and braised fennel. The pork is good, but the red bean hash and braised fennel is even better. The side dish is hearty and spicy with exceptional flavours. If this was a main course on the menu, I would order it again and again. My dining partner is also impressed with his New Zealand beef tenderloin, served with dauphinoise potato and green peppercorn cream. The beef tenderloin is perfectly cooked and melts in his mouth. After dinner, we sit around enjoying the cool breeze and nibble on a variety of desserts including a Chocolate and Caramel mousse

The entire dining experience has been pleasing, and the open-air terrace has really added an agreeable atmosphere to our dinner.

Sala Bua Beachfront Restaurant is an all-day dining affair, hosting a daily breakfast buffet, à la carte menu options for lunch and dinner, as well as daily seafood sets, cocktail specials and much more. With affordable prices and a cosy atmosphere, Sala Bua Beachfront Restaurant is definitely worth checking out when you are in Patong.
